Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC Kolkata)  - India
 Regional Meteorological Centre at Kolkata, under its parent organisation - India Meteorological Department, is presently the Eastern Region head quarter. Currently, all meteorological offices in the states of West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Sikkim, Tripura and including Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands are under administrative control of this office. At present meteorological data are received from thirty two surface observatories, two Cyclone Detecting Radar, six Radio Sounding stations and twelve Pilot Balloon Observatories.
