The IMN is an assigned direction of the Atmosphere Ministry and Energi'a (MINAE), is a scientific being that has to position the coordination of all the meteorological activities of the country in Costa Rica. It maintains a monitoring systematic of the weather conditions to offer support to the security of the airplane navigation of the country and for the prevention of the disasters hydrometeorological.
